Show History

October 17, 2012 @ The Elbo Room in San Francisco. The Bay Area's Worst Guns N' Roses Appetite-for-Destruction-ONLY Tribute Band!! With Special Guests: Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers (ZZ-Top Tribute). 21+ $8 10PM

January 31st, 1998 @ 924 Gilman St in Berkeley for Metal Madness Night. The birth of the Rocket Queens. (READ about this show.)

May 19th, 1998 @ Club Boomerang in SF. Last show with Fizzy on rhythm guitar. Soundguy during soundcheck: You guys got any effects? Slosh: Yeah… Soundguy: Um, well…what? Slosh: Fuckin' di-STOR-tion!

August 9th, 1998 @ Cocodrie in SF. First show with Muff on Bass, and Jizzy on Guitar, last show with Slosh and his Charvel and his dreads and his red pants which are now crotchless chaps. (Pictures in Picture Gallery.)

November 22nd, 1998 @ Border's Bookstore in Pleasanton. Played under the twinkling, romantic, bobbing Teletubbies display for a Xmas party. Paid in gift certificates and a tasteful buffet. While others wore red sweaters and nice shoes and Santa caps, we had skit-tight pleather pants, loud and jangley jewelry, and a stench that kept us at bay from all the hot bookstore girls.

April 29th, 1999 @ C.W. Saloon in SF for Stinky's Peepshow where Large & Lovely Ladies strip to live Rock music!!! This was the forum we were meant for. We blew all our money on the Grand Pubbah in a special 'backroom' performance. All things being equal, fat people still use more soap.

June 20th, 1999 @ Joe's House in San Jose. Remember that Bryan Adams video where he's singing in the rain (don't lie - I know you do), that's what it felt like, only instead of rain it was sweat and instead of Bryan Adams it was a turkey carcass mashed into the floorboards of Joe's garage, it's foul-smelling ghost permeating our clothes and coming home with us.

July 9th, 1999 @ 515 Shrader St in San Francisco for Scott Jone's Birthday party. It should be known that this party was as close as this band has gotten to playing the Sunset Strip. The house was full of exotic dancers with erotic ideas for what passed as fun. I'd play there again.

October 29th, 1999 @ the Cocodrie in San Francisco. With Night Flight and Powerage. Ho crimeny. Powerage is what a real tribute band is. They had a songbook for crying out loud! They knew EVERY AC/DC song ever written along with assorted trivia that only true fans/nerds would catch. Unbelievable.

October 30th, 1999 @ Cloyne Court in Berkeley. With Skitzo and Captured By Robots. A truly epic Halloween for all of us. First off, most of us got unsolicited sexual offers from people not caring we weren't the real GnR. Secondly, 1000 people and unlimited kegs - sometimes a recipe for disaster, sometimes fuel for fun, in this case it was the latter. Thirdly, Captured By Robots got to play first so as not to have to content with all the vomit left behind by Schitzo. Forthly, by the time we played everyone was so totally loaded I honestly think the lot of them thought we were GnR. No, honestly.

November 20th, 1999 @ Magoo's in Livermore. With Your Mother, SKIBIN, and Voxpop. Fizzy was there, still resentful of his getting the boot some 7 shows ago, and mangled Jizzy's amp settings before we played. But this did not stop 3 stilleto-healed, short-skirted, halter-topped, teased-haired rock'n'roll gems from dancing provocatively amidst the 20 apathetic mall-punk slackers facing our direction while we played.

November 21st, 1999 @ Border's Bookstore in Pleasanton. Back for another Xmas party, but this time there was shrimp in the vegetarian rice and our performance suffered thusly. It was so painful for the vegan drummer he quit and became Fat Sorebum, leaving the position to be filled by the current Semen Handler.

October 28th, 2000 @ Cloyne Court in Berkeley. Cops shut the show down before we had a chance to play because some guys waving their dicks around started beating security guards with fire extinguishers. About 1000 of the 1200 people were forced to go home, leaving 3 untapped kegs in their wake. An hour after the cops and fire department left the promoters told us to set up post-haste and play. Only cost them $500 bucks when the cops came back and fined them.

December 1st, 2000 @ Kimos in San Francisco. SF's premiere trannie bar on the corner of Polk and Pine. Doing our best to separate GnR's suspected homophobia and the Rocket Queens insatiable Appetite for Beefy Wang. The floor here lights up like in Michael Jacksons's Billy Jean video which is a nice feeling on your scrotum during solos.

January 11th, 2001 @ Kimos in San Francisco. Cops shut us down three times in one song. The bartender here likes us and that's always a good thing.

February 10th, 2001 @ 924 Gilman St. This show involved fire, smoke, stage diving and post-modern grunge. Viva la Gilman for unbridled variety. By the way - ROSEMARY'S BILLYGOAT.

May 25th, 2001 @ the Minnow in Alameda. I never thought I'd see Randy Rhodes and Yngwie Malmsteen in a Thin Lizzy cover band.

June 16th, 2001 @ the Pine St. Bar in Livermore. At this strip mall venue we witnessed the final act for a Sabbath cover band that ended with one pissed Croatian putting the big, eyebrowless singer in his place with two well-executed words - "Fock Yew."

December 1st, 2001 @ Bourbon St Bar & Grill in Concord with Circle Of 5ths, Bearing Sol, and Moodstack.

February 8th, 2002 @ Kimo's Barwith Kill The Messenger and others.

May 31st, 2002 @ Kimo's Bar with ?.

June 27th, 2002 @ Rooster's Roadhouse in Alameda with Miss Conduct and Forcing Bloom.
